Botox

  • What is Botox®?

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles. It can be used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) and around the eyes where fine lines preside. In some cases, Botox® can also be used on the upper lip. Botox® can be used in people 18 years of age and older.

  • How does Botox® work?

Botox® is great for frown lines, forehead lines, and Crow’s Feet. Botox® blocks impulses from the nerves connected to the tiny facial muscles that create facial expression lines. This treatment relaxes these muscles. You will still be able to use these muscles, but the skin on the surface stays smooth. Our trained and experienced injector uses a tiny micro-needle to inject the Botox®, pain is minimal, and there is no downtime. Slight bruising may occur, especially in those who take blood thinners such as aspirin and fish oil prior to treatment. Botox® cannot lift sagging skin or replace or give the effects of a facelift or brow lift.

  • How long does the effect of Botox last?

The effect will last from 3-6 months, so it is a temporary solution. A follow-up treatment is recommended 3 times a year to maintain the effect of the medication. Over a period, you will need fewer injections.

Sculptra

A Comprehensive Guide to Collagen Biostimulation

As we age, our skin loses collagen, leading to wrinkles, sagging, and volume loss. If you are looking for a natural way to restore youthful fullness without surgery, Sculptra may be the perfect solution. This innovative injectable treatment stimulates your body’s own collagen production, providing long-lasting and natural-looking results.

  • What is Sculptra?

Sculptra is an FDA-approved poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) dermal filler that works differently from traditional fillers. Instead of simply adding volume, it stimulates collagen production, gradually improving skin structure and restoring lost volume over time.

  • How Does Sculptra Work?

    1. Sculptra is injected into targeted areas such as the cheeks, temples, jawline, or other areas that have lost volume.
    2. Over the following weeks and months, the poly-L-lactic acid microparticles encourage your skin to regenerate collagen, enhancing skin firmness and thickness.
    3. Unlike traditional fillers that provide immediate results, Sculptra works gradually. You will notice progressive improvement over four to six months as your body produces new collagen.
    4. Results can last up to two years or more, making Sculptra an excellent choice for long-term facial rejuvenation.
  • Benefits of Sculptra

    • Provides natural-looking results by stimulating your own collagen
    • Long-lasting effects, with results lasting up to two years
    • Non-surgical treatment with minimal downtime
    • Can be used on multiple areas, including the cheeks, temples, jawline, and even the buttocks

Sculptra is ideal for those who:

    • Have moderate to severe volume loss or sagging skin
    • Want long-lasting, natural results

    • Are in good overall health and have realistic expectations
  • What to Expect During and After Treatment

    During the Treatment:

    • The procedure takes about 30 to 45 minutes
    • A topical numbing cream is applied for comfort
    • Multiple small injections are administered to stimulate collagen

    After the Treatment:

    • Mild swelling, redness, or bruising may occur but typically subsides in a few days
    • Patients are advised to massage the treated areas for five minutes, five times a day, for five days to ensure even distribution
    • Collagen production begins gradually, with full results visible after three to six months
  • Is Sculptra Safe?

Yes. Sculptra has been FDA-approved since 2004 and is considered safe when administered by trained professionals. Side effects are minimal and may include swelling, bruising, or temporary lumps, which resolve on their own.

PDO Thread Lift

PDO Thread Lift

PDO thread lifting is a non-surgical procedure that uses special PDO threads to lift loose skin, tighten sagging tissues, and smooth out fine lines to achieve a youthful appearance. This article explains everything you need to know about PDO thread lifts, including what they involve, how long they last, any pain involved, and who is a good candidate. Read on for details. With the rise in popularity of non-invasive cosmetic procedures offering fast results at affordable prices, more people, including celebrities, than ever are recognizing the benefits of these treatments. Among them is the PDO thread lift—an effective alternative to traditional cosmetic surgery that requires minimal downtime and can yield remarkable results. If you're considering getting a PDO thread lift, this article will help you understand what it involves and what to expect during your appointment.

  • What Is a PDO Thread Lift?

PDO thread lifts are an effective, minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses a medical-grade polymer known as polydioxanone (PDO) with barbs that lift your skin. The PDO will typically dissolve in about six months, leaving behind collagen around the suture that will provide longevity to the results as it tightens and lifts your skin. It's a less invasive procedure than facelift surgery and can often be performed in less than an hour without needing to go under a scalpel.

PDO threads are inserted in various parts of the face and neck to improve the appearance of lost skin elasticity. And the best part is that the procedure is completely non-surgical, so recovery time is much shorter than other procedures.

  • How Does a PDO Thread Lift Work?

The PDO thread is inserted under the skin through tiny punctures. The threads are then advanced to their end target with the aid of a small cannula or metal tube. After the threads are inserted into the deep layer of the skin using the special cannula, the barbs on the threads anchor into the surrounding tissue, and when they are pulled, they create natural lifting effects on the skin. Their effects slowly wear off as your body naturally breaks them down and forms collagen around the thread. The main benefits of PDO thread lifting include noticeable skin tightening, lifting effect, and improvement in complexion. In addition, the procedure is entirely non-invasive, and downtime after your treatment is typically less than two weeks.

  • How Long Do PDO Threads Last?

PDO threads last up to six months as they slowly get absorbed and broken down by the body and replaced with collagen. The lifting effect is immediate, and over time the lift will soften. After two to four weeks, the maximum effect of the lift will be appreciated by the patient. Overall, the full effect can last for about eighteen months. We usually encourage the patient to have the procedure repeated around three to six months to create more of a lift and improve the longevity of the results.

  • How Painful Is Thread Lift?

We take as many measures as possible to ensure the least amount of discomfort for our patients undergoing this procedure. An injectable anesthetic is utilized for the procedure to decrease any pain sensation. However, as with any other cosmetic procedure, it can be a bit uncomfortable and may cause some swelling or redness in the treated area. After the procedure, you can expect a mild to moderate pain level. You may also experience swelling, redness, increased sensitivity over the area, and bruising in the treated area. Depending on your body's response, these effects are temporary and will subside within a few days or a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, you can't speed up the healing process, and it's best to follow your doctor's instructions and recommendations to reduce the risks of complications and side effects. Also, it's important to note that your pain and discomfort will vary depending on the area being treated. For example, the temple area usually produces the best overall lifting, but since the threads are inserted into the scalp, it may be more sensitive than other areas.

  • Who Is a Good Candidate for a PDO Thread Lift?

If you're looking for a quick, affordable, and non-invasive procedure that promotes natural-looking results, PDO thread lifts are a good option. They are suitable for all skin types and especially recommended for patients who want to avoid surgery or cannot undergo it for medical reasons. As with any other cosmetic procedure, PDO thread lifts are recommended for people who are in good health, don't smoke, and have realistic expectations from the treatment. Your doctor will discuss your suitability for the procedure during your consultation. The ideal candidates for PDO thread lifts are people who can easily pull back the skin during the evaluation. The easier the skin can lift, the better the results can be. This procedure can help rejuvenate the face, lift sagging skin, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles with minimal downtime.

  • What Celebrities Have PDO Threads?

Celebs with PDO threads include Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne, model Tyra Banks, actress/singer Brandy, model Holly Willoughby, and model/actress Cindy Crawford. Many more celebrities have had surgical procedures. Although PDO threads are derived from surgical techniques, they have different properties and have been approved by the FDA as an alternative to surgery. While PDO threads are FDA-approved, these threads are not appropriate for all patients. The FDA guidelines for the safety and efficacy of PDO threads state that the procedure is recommended for patients who want to avoid surgery or patients who are unable to undergo surgery for medical reasons.

  • Where on Your Body Can You Have a PDO Thread Lift?

PDO threads can be used to lift, tighten, and firm up the face, neckline, and décolletage. They can also be used to lift or tighten the arms or legs. However, the procedure is unsuitable for people who want to dramatically change their appearance—it is most effective for treating mild to moderate laxity. If you want to maintain a youthful look without going under the knife, a PDO thread lift is an excellent option to help tighten and lift sagging areas. The procedure can be used to treat a variety of areas on the face and neck, including - Jawline- The jawline and jowls are a common area of concern for many patients who want to look younger. A PDO thread lift can be used to tighten and lift the submental area, improve the contour of the chin and jawline, and reduce the look of a double chin. - Cheeks - The cheeks are another area that can be targeted with a PDO thread lift. The cheeks are commonly affected by age-related volume loss, and a thread lift can help to restore volume and improve their shape. - Mouth - The mouth is a common area of concern for patients who wish to look younger. A PDO thread lift can be used to lift and tighten the mouth area to reduce the look of excess skin and improve the shape of the mouth. - Face - A PDO thread lift can be used to lift and tighten the entire face. This procedure can help to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. - Arms - A PDO thread lift can be used to lift and firm up the arms. The procedure can help to improve the appearance of the upper arms and reduce the appearance of cellulite. - Legs - A PDO thread lift can be used to lift and firm up the legs. The procedure can help to improve the appearance of the lower legs and reduce the appearance of cellulite.

  • Are PDO Thread Lifts Worth It?

PDO thread lifts are worth it if they’re what you’re looking for. The procedure is relatively inexpensive and is both quick and convenient, with minimal downtime and a short healing period. Most patients experience little to no discomfort and notice visible results almost immediately. There are many advantages to getting a PDO thread lift. For example, the procedure is non-invasive and requires very little recovery time. That being said, you should be aware of the potential disadvantages of this procedure before making your decision. The main disadvantage of a PDO thread lift is that it is a temporary solution. The treatment lasts up to eighteen months and should be repeated to maintain and improve the results. While the results may not be as long-lasting as with surgical procedures, they come with much less downside and risk.

PRF/PRP

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) and PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) are regenerative treatments that use components of a patient's blood to promote healing and rejuvenation.

  • What is PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin)?

PRF is an advanced form of platelet concentrate that includes a fibrin matrix, which allows for a slower and sustained release of growth factors. This treatment involves drawing blood, centrifuging it at a lower speed to form the fibrin matrix, and applying the PRF to the treatment area. PRF is used in aesthetic treatments for skin rejuvenation, in dental procedures for tissue regeneration, and in orthopedics for enhanced tissue repair.

  • What is PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)?

PRP utilizes a concentration of platelets from a patient's own blood to stimulate healing and rejuvenation. The process involves drawing blood, centrifuging it to separate the platelet-rich plasma, and injecting this plasma into the desired treatment area. PRP is commonly used for skin rejuvenation, promoting hair growth, and enhancing the healing of joints, tendons, and muscles.
